Machine pieced and appliqued. Machine and hand stitch, free-motion quilted, walking-foot quilted. Painted with acrylics on stitch sampler. Procion dyed. Dyed batting. Recycled bits of quilt edges. Drawn thread work. Zig-zagged edge.
Sewing Machine(s): Berninas, treadle and electric.
Materials:
Cotton and loosely-woven linen fabric; acrylic paint and Procion dyes; cotton batting, some dyed.
Inspiration:
Gold becomes orange shades to red. The sun resumes his rightful place in the sky, and all of Nature blooms, blossoms, warms, stretches, revives, reawakens...
