Machine pieced and hand appliqued. Machine stitch, free-motion quilted, walking-foot quilted. Transfer dyed, Procion dyed. Faced edge not visible from the front.
Sewing Machine(s): Berninas, treadle and electric.
Materials:
Cotton and silk fabric and Lutradur; transfer and Procion dyes; cotton batting.
Inspiration:
Next, a yellow tinge, as February sunshine, weak but full of promise, shines through bare hedges. Last year's leaves still cling in spite of the wind. Almost every day in February saw me out on my bike, in thick gloves and many layers...
