Sew up the hole in the lining with your hand-sewing needle

Open the stitching each side of the channel you have just sewn, on the outer of the bag only, and taking care not to cut the fabric

Cut your cord into two equal pieces (use a little sticky-tape to stop the ends unravelling) and choose your beads

Thread the cord through the channel with a safety pin.. Thread one piece from one side, all round and out of the same hole, then do the same with the other piece starting and finishing in the other side

Tie the beads on - thread one side of the cord through, make a knot above and below the bead. Trim off the bits of sticky-tape and frizz out the ends of the cord
