Heat and Light Cushions

I made these cushions to showcase the Oakshott Fabrics Colour Blocks in Elements - Fire.
They are very easy to make...

What you need
I used one Oakshott Colour Block of twelve fat eighths of fabric for the blocks on the cushions, and one half-metre of the background colour - I used Longshott Snowy White, Colourshott Black, and Lipari 11 (Lisca) for the back and remainder of each cushion.
You can get lots of cushions out of one pack of Fire.
Or another project..

Wadding (batting) 20 by 20 inches (50 by 50 cm) per cushion
14 inch (35 cm) zip per cushion
Thread for piecing and quilting. I use 100 percent cotton thread at all times.
Cutter and mat
Quilters' ruler
Sewing machine - nothing fancy needed. You could make this by hand, but the pattern assumes you will use a little bit of 19th-century technology...

Finished size approx 18 inches square (50 cm square)
