The Artist and Her Quilt, Made/Remade Exhibition November 2007
November 2007, at my exhibition "Made/Remade" - quilt is "Red Trees"

I have always worked with cloth - I can remember learning to read, but by then I could already sew. For more than 30 years I have been primarily a kite maker, and the pleasure of putting art into the sky is immense. In recent years I have become an artist in a wider range of textile and mixed media fields, and I teach and lecture.

I am a member of Textile Art Group Suffolk;
Contemporary Quilt; and The Quilters' Guild of the British Isles and The Embroiderers' Guild

I work to commission and am always happy to make site-specific pieces or groups of pieces.
I can produce sketches and samples for you to look at, and I am happy to work with your ideas on colour and designs.
I have a big friendly workshop in a complex of old farm buildings in South Norfolk, where I work, show, and teach. I am open normally from 11 till 4 each day, closed on Wednesday and Thursday each week. However, I do a lot of travelling to teach, so please ring before you come any distance.
I usually have the kettle on, and there is a cafe at weekends.
